New energy vehicles are mainly composed of battery drive system, motor system, electronic control system and assembly. It turned out that Japan was the first in the lithium-ion battery manufacturing industry, and it used artificial carbon graphite materials for the production of lithium-ion battery anode materials, which greatly promoted the commercialization of lithium-ion batteries. Why use artificial graphite material? Due to the lack of natural resources in Japan, there is no natural graphite mineral reserve, and artificial graphite materials mainly come from the petrochemical and steel industries. At that time, the technology of artificial graphite anode material was in the hands of the Japanese. Later, South Korea also learned Japanese technology, so the early lithium-ion battery market has always been dominated by Japan and South Korea. However, the high energy consumption and high cost of the artificial graphite preparation process restrict its price and application scale.

The situation in my country is different from that in Japan and South Korea. my country has abundant reserves of natural graphite resources. If natural graphite can replace artificial graphite in the production of lithium-ion batteries, on the one hand, it can save energy and reduce costs. Compete to achieve corner overtaking. The significance of this is self-evident. Therefore, the research on natural graphite has been carried out in my country since the last century. Professor Kang Feiyu's team is the earliest scientific research team engaged in the deep processing and application of natural graphite in China.

The project team has been tackling key problems for more than 20 years, from the earliest application for the invention patent of natural graphite anode in China, breakthrough in key technologies, to the realization of the large-scale application of natural graphite and graphene, with the help of resources and technical advantages, the lithium-ion battery has finally become "high quality and low price" , forming a three-pronged pattern of "China, Japan and South Korea" in the lithium-ion battery industry.
