Strictly control the output of low-end lithium batteries -Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment
With the rise of the new energy vehicle industry, the demand for power lithium batteries has greatly increased, but the problem is that the production of high-quality power lithium batteries is difficult to meet the market demand, while the low-end production is oversupplied. In response to this problem, on January 25, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology revised the "Regulations for the Lithium Battery Industry" and the "Interim Measures for the Administration of Lithium Battery Industry Normative Notices". Effective from the fifteenth day of the month.
The revised version of the "Regulations" puts forward clear requirements on the production utilization rate and R&D c
apabilities of lithium batteries, and proposes strict control of new lithium battery (including supporting) projects that simply expand production and have low technical levels. For new construction, renovation and expansion projects that are really necessary to promote technological innovation, improve product quality, and reduce production costs, the competent industry authorities shall strengthen the organization and demonstration in accordance with relevant regulations.(Lithium - Ion Battery Equipment)
This means that low-end battery production will be banned to some extent. It is understood that in the field of power lithium batteries, the power lithium battery companies outside the top ten have a total of about 13% of the market demand, but they account for about 55% of the total industry output, and most of them are low-end production. The output utilization rate is only about 10%, which has lowered the overall output utilization rate of the industry.
For this reason, the "Regulations" require that when the lithium battery company declares, the actual output of the previous year is not less than 50% of the output. This requirement can not only optimize the industry environment, but also improve the utilization rate of production and prevent the waste of resources caused by idle production lines.
