At the same time, the battery bionic electrolyte technology can show adaptive protection characteristics according to the needs of film formation in different life cycles of the battery cells, and improve the cycle and storage performance of the battery cells. The technology of this battery can effectively suppress side reactions and prolong battery life. "At present, the technology is commonly used in ternary materials and lithium iron phosphate materials, and the cost of the new battery does not exceed 10% of the current battery cost." The "2019 Report on my country's Auto Value Preservation Rate" shows that except for TSLA, which can be maintained at more than 70%, the value preservation rate of other new energy vehicles is generally low, and the residual value rate of vehicles after one-year use is as high as 60%. In the opinion of industry insiders, being able to complete self-repair will greatly improve the preservation rate of the battery and solve the pain point of car purchase.

At present, the warranty period of most new energy vehicle brand power lithium batteries is 8 years or 150,000 kilometers. This means that after applying CATL's new battery, even if the whole vehicle is scrapped, the battery may continue to be used, thus solving consumers' concerns about battery degradation. In the opinion of the above-mentioned person in charge, CATL's long-life battery can effectively alleviate the pain point of users' mileage attenuation, greatly reduce the cost of battery use, and improve the economy of electric vehicles related to fuel vehicles.
