Apple introduced in the patent document that they will design a system for the solid-state battery in portable electronic devices to manage the use of solid-state batteries. When portable electronic devices use solid state batteries, the system will run to monitor the temperature of solid state batteries. The system can also adjust the charging according to the battery temperature to increase the capacity or battery life of the solid-state battery.

Apple says its technology can be used on iPhone, iPad, MacBook and iPod. Apple applied for the patent in the first quarter of 2012. I don't know when they will use solid-state batteries on their devices.
